Project Description:

This project consists of a new 130,000 square foot facility for student recreation and athletic events with an indoor pool, two racquetball courts, a 46 foot high climbing wall and a bouldering wall, a multi - activity court for indoor soccer, and 1/8th mile running/walking track and a juice bar. There are also four basketball courts for intramural and recreational games and a championship court with seating for 300 spectators.

The Recreational Center also contains classrooms, multi - purpose rooms, counseling offices, a specialized nursing classroom and a student health center and campus recreational offices.

The exterior of the building consists of precast concrete wall panels with more than 12,000 square feet of glass storefront and curtain wall. The facility also has 32,000 square feet of hardwood flooring and 30,000 square feet of resilient sports flooring.

WBCI self performed all of the concrete, masonry and finish carpentry and equipment setting and coordination and scheduling of the subcontractors for the mechanical and electrical work.
